With its unique, separated-level design, the mezzanine floor rack makes full use of the upper space of the warehouse, greatly increasing the number of storage spaces. Under the same area, the usable space is doubled. With racks downstairs and a platform upstairs, the floor slabs and steel platform are similar.
It is often used for manual access downstairs. The channel between racks is about 1 meter. Larger and lighter goods can be stacked upstairs. The floor slab can be strengthened according to the actual load to meet the requirements of traveling. Increase to meet forklift work.
Composition of the mezzanine floor rack:
1. Rack part.
The rack support structure is the same as the standard rack. And in order to facilitate the installation of floor slabs, channel rods will be set to fix the channel width.
2. Platform part.
Main reinforcement, according to the different loading capacity, can be chosen from square tube / holding welding tube/channel steel / H-shaped steel. Excellent stress performance and high cost performance;
Secondary reinforcement, according to the different bearing, can be made of square tube / holding welded tube/channel steel / H-shaped steel. When using the square tube or a containing tube, it is necessary to add 3 # angle steel for the floor slabs fixing.
3. Staircase:
It was set in the attic area (outside), the angle of elevation is about 40-45 °, and the sides are equipped with handrails.
4. Auxiliary support column:
It is set at the wall or the connection between the side of the stairs and the floor to strengthen the strength of the floor here.
Design parameters of the mezzanine floor rack
1. Need to know the detailed size of the design area and whether there are any obstructions, such as building columns, fire hydrants, water pipes, windows, etc., it is best to ask customers to provide electronic drawings of the architectural drawings of the area.
2. Need to know the mezzanine floor rack’s specific size dimension requirements (type and size of goods placed)
3. Need to know the number of racks, the height of each floor, and the height requirements of the second floor, and need to understand the allowed height of the warehouse and the maximum lifting height of the customer’s existing forklift.
4. Need to know the loading capacity of each floor of the rack and the load on the second floor, understand whether the type of goods placed on the customer’s floor is pallet or loose, need to know whether a hydraulic truck or a flatbed cart will be used on the second floor, and the maximum weight of each car.
5. Need to understand the width of the storage channel between the downstairs racks.
6. Need to understand the arrangement of guardrails around the upper floor, and need to know how many sides are against the wall, whether to add the type and size of the lower cargo doo,r and the door
7. Need to know whether you need to add accessories, lifting platforms, etc.
The most important thing to know is when designing the mezzanine floor rack, the design should avoid the building pillars, fire hydrants, water pipes, and other facilities in the area.
