» what is pack back pallet racking

The press in shelf is mainly composed of column, beam, track and carrier car.
The press in shelf is evolved from the pack back pallet racking. It adopts the principle that the track and pallet car are embedded with each other. The track has a certain slope (about 3 °), and the self weight of the goods is used to realize the advance and exit of the pallet goods, and the same side enters and the same side exits.
It is applicable to the storage of large quantities and small varieties of goods and the operation mode of first in first out. High space utilization and flexible access.
Features of press in shelves:
1. High space utilization rate, up to 90% compared with ordinary pallet shelves
2. It is convenient to store goods with multiple SKUs and convenient to access;
3. Mutual restriction between trolleys to prevent damage caused by goods accumulation;
4. The SORTABILITY is more than 400% higher than the drive in shelf
When we choose press in shelves, we usually consider:
(1) Warehouse structure: when selecting press in shelves, the available storage space of the warehouse and the effective height of the highest beam in the shelf structure shall be considered to determine the shelf height. The location of the beam and column in the warehouse will also affect the configuration and layout of the shelves. The bearing capacity and flatness of the warehouse floor are also related to the design and installation of the shelves. The layout of fire prevention facilities and lighting facilities should also be considered.
(2) Article characteristics (size, weight, storage number, storage unit, etc.): effective handling of the unitized work of stored articles has a great impact on the accurate definition of shelf structure and storage operation, that is, the shape and size of stored articles are directly related to the selection of shelf specifications; the weight of stored articles is directly related to the selection of strength, rigidity and stability The type and form of the shelf, and the number of the total storage space must be estimated, taking into account the growth demand of the enterprise in the next two years, etc.
(3) Accessibility (storage density, first in, first out, storage management): generally, accessibility is relative to storage density. In order to get a higher storage density, the accessibility of goods must be relatively sacrificed. Although the press in shelf can get better storage density, its storage management is more complex, and it is often unable to achieve the first in, first out management.
(4) Handling equipment (counterweight type, straddle type, channel width, lifting height, lifting weight, rotation radius): the storage equipment is accessed by handling equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the configuration of handling equipment when selecting the press in shelf.
(5) In and out quantity (first in, first out, access frequency, access quantity): Although the press in shelf has a good storage density, the in and out quantity and operation efficiency are not high, so it is suitable for low frequency operation. It is necessary to combine other forms of shelf structure, operation area management, storage management and other measures to solve the problem of high quantity of goods in and out of the warehouse.
