» Material and structural characteristics of cantilever racks

Cantilever racks are commonly used for storing long materials, boards, circular materials, and irregular goods, and their structure is more suitable for fields such as mechanical manufacturing and building materials supermarkets. The material and structure of cantilever racks determine that they are more suitable for these ranges.

Materials for cantilevered racks

1. Made of square tubes:

Cantilever racks are often made by selecting square tubes suitable for the corresponding cantilever layer load requirements, cutting them into the required size according to the needs, and finally welding anti slip protective plates on one end and U-shaped column connectors on the other end.

2. Made of C-shaped steel:

Similar to the production of square steel pipes, the appropriate specification of C-shaped steel is selected based on the corresponding cantilever layer load requirements. Then, two pieces of C-shaped steel are welded together, and after welding, an anti slip protective plate is welded on one end, and a U-shaped column is welded on the other end.

The structure of cantilever racks

The cantilevered rack columns are connected to each other using connecting rods, which are mostly made of rectangular tubes. Basically, flat iron backs will be added to the connecting rods, and specialized pulls will be used to fix the column pieces more firmly, so there is basically no need to worry about the safety and stability of the racks.

Cantilever racks use specialized profile columns, paired with high-strength cantilevers. The forward extending cantilevers are either single-sided or double-sided, and the maximum load-bearing capacity of a single arm can reach 500kg. If it is a reinforced column structure, it can withstand a maximum pressure of 2000-3000kg. This structure is lightweight but has good load-bearing capacity, and is particularly suitable for storing long materials, circular materials, plates, and irregular materials.

The modular structure not only has all the advantages of the above structure, but also has a higher space utilization rate, especially when equipped with shelves, it is more suitable for warehouses with small space but high height. The classification of goods is clear and easy to manage. However, regardless of the type of cantilever racks, their components are semi-finished products after production. They need to be shot blasted with a shot blasting machine to remove oil and rust, and then undergo a spray coating treatment to be truly finished products. Only after becoming a finished product will it be packaged and shipped.

The above are some commonly used materials and basic structures for cantilever racks. Understanding this information can help us better understand which occasions it is suitable for and how it can better play its role in future use.
