» How to use drive-in pallet racks correctly?

In order to make better use of drive-in pallet racks, when designing a new rack warehouse or retrofitting an existing rack warehouse, it is necessary to pay attention to the review and study of the system characteristics applied in the warehouse, such as wanting to minimize the space of drive-in pallet racks. To achieve maximum storage capacity, it is necessary to choose a logistics solution that is both reasonable and economical.

When using drive-in pallet racks, loading and unloading need to be carried out from one side. This mode of accessing goods can effectively improve time efficiency and work efficiency.

The drive-in pallet rack is a continuous whole storage rack that is not divided by aisles. Therefore, the pallets need to be stored in the depth direction on the support rails (corbel beams), and they need to be stored tightly, which can make high-density storage possible.

Drive-in pallet racks can be divided into one-way and two-way arrangements according to the picking direction. The total depth of the one-way (wall area) shelf rack is best controlled within 6 pallets depth, and the total depth of the two-way (the middle area can be picked up on both sides) shelf rack area. It is best to control it within 12 pallet depths to improve the efficiency and reliability of forklift access.

The drive-in pallet rack design should not be too high, usually needs to be controlled within 10M, and in order to strengthen the stability of the entire storage racking system, in addition to larger specifications and selection, a pulling device must be added.

When using drive-in pallet racks, the single-carried goods should not be too large or heavy, the weight can generally be controlled within 1500KG, and the pallet span should not be greater than 1.5M; the often equipped forklifts are forward-moving battery forklifts or counterbalanced battery forklifts.

Drive-in pallet racks require extremely high stability due to the dense storage of goods. For this, relatively many storage rack accessories are required. Generally speaking, the accessories are connected with the storage rack column pieces, so that the goods can be safely and densely stored in the rack. On the corbel beam, the space is utilized to a greater extent.
