Very narrow aisle racks and beam pallet racks are basically the same, and can be adjusted up and down at a pitch of 75mm or 50mm. The frame and beam can be designed according to different specifications of pallets and weights, so what is the difference between these two types of storage racks?
Very narrow aisle racks are named narrow aisle racks because the forklift handling channel is narrower than other warehouse racking systems. The main body of the warehouse racking system is a beam pallet racking system, the difference is that the action rails of the “three-way stacking forklift” are installed at the bottom of the storage racks. The guide rails are conventionally made of unequal angle steel. Material handling forklifts are limited to dedicated “three-way stacker forklifts”. The three-way stacker forklift slides along the established guide rails. The width of the stacking channel of the warehouse racking system is slightly larger than the width of the palletized goods, and the high-density storage requirements can be achieved. At the same time, it inherits all the advantages of the beam pallet racking system. All the materials stored in the warehouse racking system are highly optional, and the forklift can store any pallet of goods at any time.
Beam pallet racks are a very common type of racking in various storage racking systems. The structure is simple and effective, and accessories can be added according to the characteristics of the storage unit container equipment, such as partitions, steel laminates, mesh laminates, storage cages, oil drum racks and other functional accessories, which can meet the needs of different unit container equipment. storage. Heavy-duty storage racks are a very common type of shelf rack that has good picking efficiency and can store heavier items, but with low storage density. It has the characteristics of heavy load-bearing, high adaptability, mechanical access, and high selection efficiency, but the space utilization rate is not as good as other high-density storage racking systems. Beam pallet racks are widely used in manufacturing, third-party logistics and distribution centers. Such storage racks are widely used in high-level warehouses and ultra-high-level warehouses (most of these storage racks are used in automated flat warehouses).
The difference between very narrow aisle racks and beam pallet racks:
1. Shelf structure
Beam pallet racks are composed of columns, beams and other accessories, while very narrow aisle racks have rails in addition to the accessories of beam pallet racks, which is a big difference in structure between the two;
2. Different shelf channels
The lane width of very narrow aisle racks is much smaller than that of ordinary beam pallet racks, usually around 1600-2000mm;
3. Different storage devices
Very narrow aisle racks need to use a specific forklift, that is, a three-way stacker, while the beam pallet racks do not have very high requirements for forklifts, as long as they can reach the lifting height of the goods and meet the requirements of the aisle;
4. Different warehouse usage rates
Very narrow aisle racks can reach more than 50% of the warehouse application rate due to the small channel, while the beam pallet racking channel is relatively large, and the warehouse utilization rate can only reach 35%-40%.
