» 3 Production Forms for Heavy Duty Warehouse Shelves?

There are many kinds of forms of the heavy duty shelves, but the production principle is basically the same.

1.Drive in racking

Drive in pallet racking system is also known as traverse shelves and drive through pallet racking. The store racking system has a dense distribution of pallet shelves, high space utilization, almost two times bigger than the pallet racking systems, but the goods must be small and large batch type. First of all, it is necessary to carry out container unit work to determine the specifications, loading capacity and stacking height of pallets. The span, depth and interval of the unit shelf are determined, and the height of the pallet shelves is determined according to the effective height of the lower edge of the roof truss. The total depth of the metal storage shelves in the wall area is best controlled within 6 metal pallets depth. The overall depth of the wire storage racks area is best controlled within 12 pallet depths to improve the efficiency and reliability of the forklift access. (In this kind of industrial metal shelving, the forklift is a continuous “high lift” operation mode, and the forklift is easily sloshing and bumping.

To the rack storage, stability considerations are crucial. This kind of warehouse racking system is weak and not too high, it should be controlled within 10m, and in order to strengthen the stability of the whole racking system, except for the size and selection of the steel racking system, the pull and solid device must be added. The cargo should not be too large or too heavy. The weight should be controlled within 1500kg, and the span of pallets should not be greater than 1.5m. Forklift trucks are often used as forklift trucks or counterbalanced battery forklifts. It is widely used in dairy, beverage and other food industries, but also in cold storage.

2.Gravity rack

The gravity flow racks evolve from warehouse pallet rack shelving, using the roller track or the bottom wheel pallet, the track is on a certain slope (about 3 degrees), using the weight of the goods to realize the advanced first, out of the goods and the other side out. It is suitable for the advanced first out storage operation of large quantities and similar goods. The space utilization is very high; it is used for goods with a certain warranty period and not suitable for long-term backlog. The total industrial storage racks depth (that is, the length of the guide rail) should not be too large, otherwise the “dead angle” that cannot be used up and down will be larger, affecting space utilization, and the slope is too long, the controllability of the slide will be poor, the decline of the momentum is larger, and it is easy to cause the sluggish, obstruct, and the dump of the pallet goods.

In order to make the slide smooth, if the ramp is long, the damping device should be added in the middle. In order to make the pallet goods fall to the bottom, the shock force will not be overturned when the impact force is too large. The buffer device and the separation device should be set at the bottom of the ramp, so the design, manufacture and installation are difficult, and this is higher. Such heavy duty pallet racks should not be too high, generally within 6m, the weight of single cargo is generally less than 1000kg, and otherwise its reliability and operability will be reduced. This kind of flow racking systems is not widely used in China at present.

 3.push back racking

The push back pallet racking systems also evolve from the selective pallet racking system, using the principle of track and pallet car, the track is on a certain slope (about 3 degrees), using the weight of the goods to realize the advanced rear out of the pallet goods and the same side out of the same side. It is suitable for the warehouse storage of large and small variety of goods, with high space utilization and access. It is also more flexible and convenient. The total depth of the shelf should not be too deep, usually within 5 pallets; otherwise the space will be greatly sacrificed due to the mutual inset of pallet cars. The cargo weight is generally less than 1500kg, and shelf rack height is generally less than 6m. This kind of pallet racking systems has a high requirement for the manufacturing precision of the pallet shelves, and the coordination between the pallets and the guide rail is particularly important, such as the low precision of the manufacturing and warehouse racking installation, which is very easy to cause the bad running of the metal racking systems. This kind of warehouse racking solutions has high cost and has been applied in China.
